This altar, formerly used in the old St. Thomas Church in Hainesville, is now in the Gathering Space of the newer church.
When Father Ted Michota expanded the original two-room schoolhouse building, he incorporated this altar. It had been originally designed by Father Tully for Our Lady of the Blue Mountain Church in Walpack, and was transferred to our parish after its closure in 1970. The altar was built by Ted Thum - deceased member of our Parish.
Sanctuary Lamp @ St. Thomas
The Sanctuary Lamp at St. Thomas the Apostle is dedicated to the
memory of Yorio Cunico through the generosity of his family and friends.
It highlights the Real and Eternal Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
Banners @ St. James
During Advent and Lent, other banners are hung in the
Sanctuary - the colors indicating the season within the Church year. These green ones are used during Ordinary Time.
They were dedicated to the memory of Bob Schweer through donations to the Parish from his family and friends.
Please keep all our benefactors and their families in your prayers.
The parishes are grateful for generosity that continues to add towards creating a prayerful atmosphere in both of our churches.
