Following the Friday 9 AM Daily Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church - the Blessed Sacrament is placed into the monstrance. A brief period of Exposition follows, which starts with a song and prayers - followed by a period of quiet Adoration. That concludes by Noon with some closing prayers.
One can remain for any span of time, and all are welcome to come and stop in before Noon.
On occasions of severly inclement weather or when a funeral may need to be scheduled that morning, it may be cancelled. One can call the parish office to check if you are coming only specifically for ADORATION 10 AM - NOON.
All are welcome to come for whatever amount of time one would like to spend with Our Lord. Stop in during the period alloted and spend some quiet time with Our Lord. Consider coming in to pray for an hour - or even for a few minutes.
Starting at 9AM, the Wed. Daily Mass is preceded by offering the prayers of the Novena.
On Good Friday, 2020, at the height of the pandemic, a group of “prayer warriors” began to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy together at 3 p.m. each day--virtually, using Zoom. These moments of prayer have been continuing since then, perpetually.
The time together includes the Divine Mercy prayers, but also prayers of intercession for every need. Members come from parishes within the Diocese of Paterson, but also elsewhere inside and outside N.J.
If you would like to join this prayer group--or have any questions--please contact Deacon Greg at 908-399-8970, or by E-mail at gjszpunar@gmail.com.
Technical help is offered in getting on-line with either a phone or computer.
You may join us every day, or whenever your schedule permits.
Deacon Greg, though not assigned to our parish, often assists at weekday Masses at St. Thomas.
During Lent, we pray the Stations as a community. Schedule and location will be posted in our Bulletin and here at the time.
