Part of our ministry is to visit the sick in the hospital or at home, as circumstances allow. We are happy to bring to them Holy Communion or the Sacrament of the Sick on our visits.
Important:
The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is available to anyone sick at home, or in the hospital, or preparing for surgery, or even experiencing older age.
Please do not wait till someone becomes critically ill before calling for the priest. The Sacrament is most effective when the individual can still fully participate in the prayers and understand the signs used. Also - it is desirable for family members to also be present at the time of an Anointing.
Current Privacy laws do not allow us to visit anyone at the hospital or to pray publicly for a sick individual unless permission has been given us to do so either directly by that individual or by their health care proxy.
Please inform us of the needs of the sick and the elderly in our parish. We will respond as best we can.
The Deacon and some Eucharistic Ministers are also able to bring Holy Communion out to those no longer able to attend Mass in person. Let us know if you wish us to bring the Holy Eusharist.
We have gluten-free hosts for those who have a dietary restriction.
