Part of our ministry is to visit the sick in the hospital or at home as circumstances allow. We are happy to bring to them Holy Communion or the Sacrament of the Sick on our visits.
Important:
The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is available to anyone sick at home, or in the hospital, or preparing for surgery, or even experiencing older age. Please do not wait till someone becomes critically ill before calling the priest. The Sacrament is most effective when the individual can still fully participate in the prayers and understand the signs used.
It is desirable for family members be present at the time of an Anointing.
Privacy laws do not allow us to visit anyone at the hospital or to pray publicly for a sick individual unless permission has been given us to do so either by that individual or by their health care proxy.
Please inform us of the needs of the sick and elderly. We will respond as best we can.
The Deacon and some Eucharistic Ministers are also able to bring Holy Communion to those no longer able to attend Mass.
